Vodacom Western Province built on their good start to the national under-21 Absa competition by trouncing the Lions 33-8 at Newlands on Saturday.
This was Rassie Erasmus' side's second win in two starts after they have beaten their counterparts of the Free State last week.
Province led 16-5 at halftime and were just too good for the Johannesburg-based side. They played some enterprising rugby and scored three tries. Flyhalf Gary van Aswegen was on song with his kicking and contributed 18 points via 4 penalties and 3 conversions.
